With CPA professionals in the midst of tax season, I thought this would be an appropriate topic!

Stress is a word we hear pretty frequently when talking with friends, co-workers, family members, and colleagues. It seems as though everyone is experiencing stress these days whether it is balancing work, kids, ageing parents or a number of other scenarios. So the question is “how do you respond to stress”?

I read all the time that exercise helps manage stress levels, but who has time to exercise? Eating a healthy diet helps control stress but again, who has time to cook healthy meals? I hear this repeated a number of times throughout the course of the week by people in my circle and within my own household. So how do other people manage stress levels, how do they cope, find time to eat healthy and exercise. Are there tools that we can utilize to change our mindset and how we respond and react to stress?

I encourage you to take a moment to read the Harvard Business Review Article To Handle Increased Stress, Build Your Resilience. There are some useful tips that you might be able to put into action to help you feel less stressed or more in control of your stress levels.
